Seattle, WA|3.7| ||5 hours ago|Full-time| Education Bachelor's Degree Skills Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response Training Driver's License The Environment Division of AECOM is actively seeking a Geologist or Environmental Scientist for the Seattle office. This position will support a variety of environmental cleanup projects by assisting with a variety of tasks, both in the office and in the field. The selected candidate will be engaged in a wide range of projects, predominantly under Washington MTCA regulations. The successful candidate will have experience supporting environmental project managers, conducting environmental fieldwork, and writing environmental technical reports. This role will require general, multi-disciplinary knowledge relating to environmental site assessments, remedial investigation, risk assessment, and remedial alternatives evaluation. The candidate will work in a team environment and must be able to work both independently and in a team setting. Roles would also include assisting in developing cleanup strategies and working towards site closures with regulators. There are opportunities for career growth in diverse areas, including but not limited to, project management, client interaction, and regulatory involvement. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Sampling environmental media (soil, groundwater, surface water, soil vapor, etc.) + Coordinate and manage subcontractors on site + Data evaluation of environmental media + Development of work plans, memorandums, reports, correspondence, and various other documents Job duties will involve both field and office assignments with occasional overnight travel required. Minimum Requirements BA / BS in Geology, Environmental Science or closely related field with 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Must have valid U.S. Driver's license Must be able to perform field work without restrictions.
