Golder has a new opportunity for a **Senior Hydrogeologist** to join our **Round Rock or Houston, TX** office locations. This individual will provide field and office support for hydrogeologic characterization, environmental investigations, water resources assessment, and hazardous waste site characterization and remediation. The successful candidate should enjoy identifying new business opportunities and building successful client relationships.

**Responsibilities of the role will include:**

+ Provide technical expertise and/or support for geologic and hydrogeologic investigations, hydrogeologic testing, contaminated sites investigations, and development of conceptual site models;

+ Undertaking project management duties and regulatory agency communications;

+ Identify, develop, and manage the delivery of solutions to our clients;

+ Supervise, coordinate, and review/evaluate activities carried out by junior engineers and scientists;

+ Write proposals and maintain/develop client relationships to ensure project delivery and generation or repeat business;

+ Assist with junior staff mentoring, and team planning and development;


+ A strong academic background in hydrogeology, with a Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, hydrogeology, geology, geosciences, or similar field ;

+ A minimum of 10 years’ experience;

+ Ability to travel up to 30% of the time for fieldwork;

+ Demonstrable experience in hydrogeologic data collection, groundwater sampling, and hydrogeologic testing and analysis;

+ Knowledge of best practices for site investigations/characterization (e.g., logging boreholes; designing, installing, and developing wells; and environmental site assessment) and sampling procedures (e.g., soil, water, soil gas, air, and hazardous waste);

+ Proven experience and success working in the remediation, water resources and/or mining industries;

+ Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state regulatory programs (e.g. TRRP, RCRA, CERCLA);

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills combined with willingness to work as part of a group;

+ Ability to manage project teams, while meeting budget and schedule requirements and ensuring financial metrics and performance milestones are met.


+ A Master’s degree in environmental science, hydrogeology, geology, geosciences, or similar field;

+ Professional Geologist (PG) designation;

+ Consulting experience;

+ Prior project experience in Texas and Gulf Coast states;

+ Experience with numerical groundwater flow modeling and geologic/hydrogeologic visualization tools; and

+ The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
