They will manage the Field Industrial Hygiene and Safety staff and technicians for the assigned operational division. Emphasize a philosophy of continuous improvement in the worker safety and health programs to enhance worker safety, create efficiency, and reduce cost. Provides clear and concise day to day direction to staff, manages the Industrial Hygiene (IH)/Safety & Health (S&H) deliverable schedule including Performance Objectives, Measures and Commitments (POMC), provides effective communication to the staff, operations, provides clear expectations of the schedule and deliverables, and removes obstacles to allow the deliverables to be achieved. Provides staff with effective opportunity for improvement, including constructive criticism, professional development, training, ongoing review of work products/deliverables, adjustments to the schedule, redirection of priorities, and opportunities to present and deliver information to workers and management. Required Qualifications BA/BS Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety or related discipline plus a minimum of 10 years experience in Industrial Hygiene/Safety, including 2 years of supervisory/management experience or an equivalent combination of education and directly related work experience. Desired Qualifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Continuous education and training to maintain knowledge. Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is strongly desired or actively pursuing national certification recognition.
