**Job Summary**

**AECOM** is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Civil Engineer for employment in the Philadelphia office.

This position is anticipated to begin May/June 2021.

Under the supervision of a Project Engineer, the appropriately qualified applicant will be part of a Design Team responsible for the design of small to large-scale Highway Improvement Projects such as roadway rehabilitation/safety improvement projects (3R), intersection improvements/optimizations, interstate/limited access highway widening/reconstruction. Design responsibilities include: horizontal/vertical geometry, pavement design, 3D modeling, intersections/interchanges design, traffic control/staging, signing and pavement markings design, ADA, Pedestrian and Bicycle design etc.

**Specific Responsibilities include:**

+ Obtaining and reviewing of existing information including some field work/site investigations.

+ Originating technical calculations that advance the design of the project.

+ Assisting in the development of roadway construction, intersection grading, traffic control, signing and pavement marking, E&SPC and post-construction stormwater management plans.

+ Developing 3D models using civil engineering software such as Bentley InRoads or Autodesk Civil 3D.

+ Assisting in the preparation of technical reports and project specifications.

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Candidate is required to have a BS degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam

+ Some experience with AutoCAD, Microstation and other civil engineering related software (Civil 3D, Inroads)

+ Previous work experience or internship with engineering firms, contractors or DOTs involved in design, construction or management of highway or other transportation related projects.

+ Very Familiar with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point).
